Environmental policy in the period 2009-2012

The company CEBES a.s. is engaged in the manufacturing of rotary electric machine components.The companies´ policy and strategy is oriented to provide high-quality and professionally delivered product for customers with regard to protection of the environment.

For this purpose, the companies´ management enunciates following Integrated quality and environmental policy for 2009-2012.

In relation to company and customers we want:

  • to build strong and customer oriented company which operate on both domestic and foreign markets and also to improve quality and environment management system according to internationally accredited norms - ISO 9001 and ISO 14001,
  • to develop and constantly improve our products at maximum fulfillment of customers´ demands
  • to be conform with legal regulations which applies on our products and also on environmental aspects, as well as other relevant requirements,
  • to ensure all necessary resources for maintenance and improvement of the Integrated quality and environment management,
  • to improve processes of both Integrated quality management and the companies´ environmental profile at all the time.

In relation to employees and interested parties we want:

  • to boost the role and the responsibilities of the executives on all stages of companies´ management, with the engagement of all employees´ abilities on behalf of the quality production and the environmental protection,
  • minimize step by step the effect of our activities with regard to environment and employees´ health,
  • to exercise preventive actions and thereby prevent the environmental deterioration and the creation of damage situation,
  • to reduce material and energy constingness of operating technologies at all time and thereby save the primary raw material basis,
  • openly cooperate with the government, trading partners, organizations concerned and general public with the regard to theirs suggestions and observations.

In relation to suppliers and cooperative subjects:

  • we are expecting adherence of the environmental protection principles from all our suppliers and other cooperative subjects,
  • we are building high-quality long-term cooperation with our suppliers and together we participate on creation of a good name of our products.

This Integrated policy is obligatory to all employees. We are expecting theirs active approach in fulfilling of this Integrated policy and also related environmental objectives.

The CEBES a.s. company and its attitude towards environmental protection

The Environmental Management System (EMS) according to ISO 14001 was successfully implemented and successfully certified in the CEBES a.s. by the accredited certification organization already in 2004. Thereby the company accepted commitment for continuous improvement and prevention of the protection of the environment.

  • To ensure maximum effectiveness of EMS the company designates suitable Strategies (made public at www.cebes.cz) and marks out a number of Goals to fulfill it. These goals come out from the legislative requirements which concern the protection of environment and have respect to local legislative, local inhabitants and the opinions of governmental authority. Adherence to legal and legislative requirements are periodically reviewed and evaluated.
  • Significant environmental aspects of the corporation CEBES a.s. are:
    - exhalation into the air in the factory building
    - treatment of the dangerous chemical substances
    - oil leakage from the machines
    - the usage of the chromium oxide and nitric acid and theirs neutralization

To minimize these aspects and for achieving ecological goals the EMS programs are established. These programs reflect company’s specific ways of realization and responsibilities. This includes the purchases of the new NC machines and reconstruction of the existing ones, modernization of the dust-exhausting equipment, improving the quality of waste-water disposal from electrodeposits’ work-shop, minimization of the aggressive concentrate emissions in electrodeposits’ work-shop and reducing the objects heat losses.

One of the significant programs for the protection of the environment is the program for decreasing the production of hazardous waste, successive decreasing the production of others waste, its consequential separation and the environmentally friendly disposal.

The company has also available the procedures for emergency planning, safe treatment with the chemical substances and waste management, for improving the manipulation with the hazardous waste and chemical substances.
